Let's Plant Trees: PM Shehbaz's Big PlanLet's Plant Trees: PM Shehbaz's Big Plan

Hey there! Did you hear? Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif just kicked off a big tree-planting campaign in Pakistan. He’s super serious about making our country greener and safer from things like floods and extreme weather.

Big Goals for Big Change

Guess what? The Prime Minister wants to plant double the number of trees this year compared to last year. That’s a whopping 240 million trees! It’s all part of his plan to tackle climate change and make our environment healthier.

Why It’s Urgent

Our forests cover only 5% of Pakistan, and that’s not enough. We’re one of the top countries at risk from climate change disasters, like floods and heatwaves. That’s why the Prime Minister says we need to act fast!

Learning to Protect Our Planet

The Prime Minister thinks it’s super important for everyone, especially kids in school, to understand why trees are so vital. Did you know that between 1999 and 2018, Pakistan lost 10,000 lives and billions of dollars because of climate disasters? Yikes! We need to learn how to stop that from happening again.

Your Turn to Help

He’s not doing this alone. The Prime Minister wants all of us to join in. Yep, that means you too! By planting trees, we can all make a big difference in fighting climate change and keeping our country safe.

Where We’re Planting

So, here’s the plan: We’re planting millions of trees all over Pakistan. Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K), and Gilgit Baltistan are all getting in on the action.

Celebrating Past Successes

We’ve already done some great planting during the Monsoon 2023 drive. Almost 50 million trees were planted! Now, we’re aiming even higher.

All Kinds of Trees

We’re not just planting one type of tree. Oh no! We’re planting loads of different ones, like Timar, Kikar, Jand, Amaltas, and more. Each tree helps our environment stay healthy and strong.

Wrapping Up: Let’s Make Pakistan Green!

Prime Minister Shehbaz’s tree-planting campaign is just getting started, and it’s going to make a huge difference for Pakistan. Together, we can turn our country into a green paradise, safe from climate change’s worst effects. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get planting!
