As Ramadan approaches, many Pakistanis are wondering how long their Eid break will be this year. Thanks to new technology and science, it’s become easier to predict when Eid will fall, all thanks to a calendar introduced by Fawad Chaudhry, the Minister for Science and Technology, in 2019.
How Long Will Ramadan Last and When Is Eid?
This year, Ramadan is expected to last for 29 days, ending with Eid celebrations on April 10th. Meteorologists have looked at their forecasts and compared them to the lunar calendar, and they’re pretty confident about this date. They even say the Shawwal moon, which marks the end of Ramadan, should be visible on the evening of the 29th day.
How Many Days Off Can You Expect?
In Pakistan, Eid holidays usually start a day before Eid itself, giving people time to get ready and enjoy the festivities. Since Eid falls on a Wednesday this year, the government has decided to give everyone a four-day break, from Tuesday to Friday. And with the weekend right after, that means people will get a nice, long six-day holiday.
Getting Ready for Eid
As Eid approaches, it’s good to know that science and tradition are coming together to give us a nice, long break. With six days off, people can relax, spend time with family, and celebrate Eid in style. It’s a time to recharge, reconnect, and enjoy the blessings of the holiday season.
